The museum of art opened in 2007 in a rich natural Kannonzaki Park for celebrating 100th anniversary of the municipal system of Yokosuka City.
Not only a variety of exhibitions held 6 times a year, there is a Collection exhibition chosen from 5,000 items of Japan’s famous modern arts such as art works of artists who are associated with Miura peninsula in Yokosuka, and Rokuro Taniuchi’s works, well-known for Shukan Shincho covers, which makes you feel nostalgic atmosphere are also exhibiting permanently.
Yokosuka Museum of Art located in a splendid Kannonzaki Park is known as the Scenic Art Museum. In the past, it was once rated as top-ranking of Japan’s Most Scenic Art Museum also.
A beautiful scenery outside the museum facing Tokyo Bay and surrounded by nature is the best photography spot of Miura Peninsula as well.
Moreover, there are Facilities Complex such as “ACQUAMARE”, an Italian restaurant where a famous chef is working as an executive chef, and a museum shop selling plenty of stylish items.

FEE	Collection Gallery：Adults： 310 yen、High-school,College,and University students;Senior Citizens above 65 years old： 210 yen Special Exhibition：Fees differs among events. Please check official site for information. ※Admissions are totally free with following cases ・Junior High School Students and younger ・Person issued with a disability pass and one accompanying caretaker. （Please show the disability pass at the Information）・High-school student (who lives in or attends a school in Yokosuka.)
ACCESS	From Maborikaigan Station(Keikyu Line), take the Keikyu bus bound for Kannonzaki and get off the Keikyu Kannnonnzaki Hotel and Yokosuka Museum of Art Bus Stop (approx.10 min.) From Yokosuka Station(JR Line), take the Keikyu bus bound for Kannonzaki and get off the Keikyu Kannnonnzaki Hotel and Yokosuka Museum of Art Bus Stop (approx.35 min.) (Car) 3km from Maborikaigan IC on the Yokohama-Yokosuka Toll Road(approx.5 min.)
