Even when the Odawara Castle was attacked by Uesugi Kenshin in 1560 and Takeda Shingen in 1569, because the castle was surrounded with moats, stone walls and soil base including the castle town as well as the castle town, it earned the title as the impenetrable castle, as no unwanted foe could enter. The main attraction, the castle tower, has undergone seismic retrofitting work for about 990 million yen and was renewed in May 2016. You can see Sagami Bay and Odawara city view from the observation pace on the top floor. In the castle ruins park, we have a historical center, an amusement park, and leisure facilities that one can lend and record videos in ninja costumes.
