Miyuki-no-hama

Only about a 15 minute walk from the Odawara Castle, is the beach of Miyuki. Also known as the “Beach of Fortune” when the Meiji Emperor and Empress saw the local fisherman in 1873. In the summer you can enjoy beach, while on New Year’s, there is Odawa’s first swim, which is used from praying for the health and safety of the sea. It is very quiet during the times between events, so you can enjoy the wonderful beach and the scenery. On sunny days you can see the Izu Peninsula and Miura/ Boso Peninsula.
