The 8th Kamakura Beach Bon-Odori Festival
In 2013, on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the opening of Kamakura Beach, the “Kamakura Beach Bon Dance Festival” began as an event where three generations of parents and children can enjoy together with citizens on the beach.
It is not just a festival where people make a yagura (turret) on the beach and dance happily in a circle. It is held as a beach bon dance unique to Kamakura, such as sutra chanting and burning incense.
Why don’t you enjoy summer traditions while feeling the sea breeze on the beach of Kamakura?
*In case of rain, the event will be held inside of beach house “Asia”.
