Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Annual Festival
Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine holds the most important festival at the shrine, the Reitaisai. It is said to have started in 1187 with the Hojoe held by Minamoto no Yoritomo. Since then, more than 800 years of history and tradition have been handed down to the present day. It is held solemnly with a large number of attendees.
・ Date: September 14th (Wednesday) to 16th (Friday), 2022
September 14th: Yoimiya Festival: 18:00-, Chorus: 16:00-, Japanese Drum Concert: 19:00-, Kamakura Music Festival: All day (Tsu area)
September 15 Reitaisai: from 10:00, Shinkosai: from 13:00, Japanese dance: from 18:00, flower offering ceremony: all day, Kamakura music: all day (Dai district) *Yabusame ritual will be canceled in 2022.
September 16th: Suzumushi Hojosai: 15:00-, flower offering: all day, Kamakura Music Festival: all day (Yukinoshita area)
