EVENT & NEWS

In Kanagawa Prefecture, we will hold a sailing marine experience event for elementary school students and people with disabilities (elementary school students and over 18 years old) living in the prefecture at the venue in the prefecture so that more people will know the charm of sailing.

The implementation period will be from June to November 2022, and the venues will be four locations in the prefecture (Enoshima Yacht Harbor, Yokohama Bayside Marina, Hakkeijima Marina and Seabornia Marina).

* There is a possibility that the event will be canceled after the visit due to stormy weather, changes in the holding method due to the infection status of the new coronavirus infection, etc., and the wind and wave conditions on the day.
* We will take measures to prevent infection, such as wearing a mask and thoroughly disinfecting hands.
* If there are many applications, it will be a lottery.
* Experience sessions for people with disabilities (elementary school students and over 18 years old) will be held at Enoshima Yacht Harbor and Yokohama Bayside Marina.

・ Experience meeting for elementary school students living in the prefecture and people with disabilities (elementary school students and over 18 years old) (must be accompanied by a guardian)

Location: Enoshima Yacht Harbor (1-12-2 Enoshima, Fujisawa City)

Dates: June 11th (Sat), July 24th (Sun), August 11th (Thursday / holiday), August 28th (Sunday), September 11th (Sunday), October 15th, 2022 Sunday (Sat)

Time: Common to all dates (5 experience sessions per day)
1st time: 9:30 to 11:30, 2nd time: 10:30 to 12:30, 3rd time: 11:40 to 13:40, 4th time: 12:50 to 14:50 Minutes, 5th time: 13: 50-15: 50
* Reception starts 20 minutes before the start time of each session.

Capacity: 10 people each time

Contents: Experience sailing while receiving guidance from an instructor using the Hanseatic League. (The Hanseatic class is a yacht with excellent safety because it is easy to maneuver because it is operated while sitting facing forward, and because it has a heavy center board, there is no need to worry about capsizing.)

Location: Yokohama Bayside Marina (1 Shiraho, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama)

Dates: June 4th (Sat), July 9th (Sat), September 23rd (Friday / holiday), 2022

Time: Common to all dates (5 experience sessions per day)
1st time: 9:30 to 11:30, 2nd time: 10:30 to 12:30, 3rd time: 11:40 to 13:40, 4th time: 12:50 to 14:50 Minutes, 5th time: 13: 50-15: 50

・ Experience meeting for elementary school students living in the prefecture and their parents

Location: Hakkeijima Marina (Hakkeijima, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama)

* Up to 2 parents can apply for Hakkeijima Marina per elementary school student. From the viewpoint of safety, it is necessary to apply for at least one guardian for each elementary school student.

Dates: June 25th (Sat), July 3rd (Sun), November 5th (Sat), 2022

Time: Common to all dates (Twice a day experience session)
1st time: 10:00 to 12:00
Second time: 13: 00-15: 00
* Reception starts 20 minutes before the start time of each session.

Capacity: 24 people each time

Contents: Experience sailing under the guidance of an instructor using the Sealerk class, 530 class, and Sicara class. (The Sealerk class is a yacht that is often adopted as a general introduction boat for racing dinghy of 16ft (about 4.8m). The 530 class is characterized by a boat type based on a rowing boat called a cutter boat, and two pieces. Equipped with sails, it is a yacht with excellent stability and occupant capacity. The Sicara class features a simple outfit and a stable hull form that even beginners can easily experience racing dinghy running. The total length is 13ft. (Approximately 4m), which is a relatively small category.)

Location: Seabornia Marina (1286 Koajiro, Misakimachi, Miura City)
* Up to 1 guardian can apply for Seabornia Marina per elementary school student.

* Applications for experience sessions held from July to November (applications and application receptions) will be accepted from the beginning of two months before each event.
