[Kamakura City] Kamakura Festival
The Kamakura Festival will be held around Tsuruoka Hachimangu Shrine. The Kamakura Festival is an annual spring event in Kamakura that has been going on since 1959. Various events are held throughout the city, including Yabusame, elegant and splendid dances and field seats. “Shizu no Mai” is an elegant dance that recreates the story of Shizugozen, a beautiful but sad story that Shizengozen was said to have danced under the order of Gen Yoritomo.
