【Yokosuka】 Awashima Shrine festival
【Event end】
Awashima shrine festival is famous as a festival named after the peach festival that continues from the Edo period.
“Please also let me, Mr. Awashima, we are going to have two people to thank them”, and will be dedicated by tying hemp to the handle of the bottomless ladle (Hikyaku). In the festival, priests and shrine maidens (Miko) get on board the ship from the Ashinaga coast in front of the shrine, shed dolls (bina) are held and dolls brought in are carried out.
※ The bottomless ladle is the wish of “Anxiety so that water can escape” is wrapped, it is also seen in the worship prayers across the country.
