Choun Temple

This temple is said to have been founded between 1521-1527. Mt. Kagemasa comes from a descendant of Kamakura Gongoro Kagemasa, and who built the building to be recruited into the government during the Heian period (794-1185). Acala is the deity worshiped here. The statues of Acala and Jizou are designated as Hayama cultural assets. Besides this, the cloth bag of the “Shonan Seven Lucky Gods” is also enshrined here.
