The elegant dance "Chakkirako," a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, will be performed.

Chakkirako, a prayer for good catches, good harvests, and prosperous business, will be performed again this year at Kainan Shrine.
It is a folk performing art traditionally performed exclusively by women, and its origins are said to date back to the Edo period.
There are two ancient legends surrounding this dance.
To kick off the new year, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the precious traditional performing art “Chakkirako,” a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Why not visit and rediscover the beauty of Japan’s traditional culture while immersed in the region’s history?
