Recently, the number of facilities offering bicycle rentals has increased, creating an environment where cycling can be enjoyed even more easily. In addition to riding your own favorite bike, you can also rent one at your destination with family or friends, allowing you to enjoy cycling in a style that suits you best.
This time, we’d like to introduce an enjoyable cycling experience in SHONAN.
SHONAN area offers various cycling routes where you can ride while enjoying ocean views. Some routes extend as far as 100 kilometers.
In this article, we will introduce a section of the "Pacific Coast Bicycle Path Kanagawa Section," a scenic cycling route stretching approximately 100 kilometers from Kurihama Port, which offers breathtaking views of SHONAN, to the border between Kanagawa and Shizuoka Prefectures.

■ Depart from Yokosuka Port
The starting point of the cycling route we’re introducing here is Yokosuka Port (Tokyo Bay Ferry – Kurihama Port), where you can board a ferry that crosses Tokyo Bay to Kanaya Port in Chiba Prefecture.
Inside the terminal, there are bicycle rental services, as well as a food court, so you can prepare for your departure here.

■ Commemorative Photos at Nobi Beach
Nobi Beach, near YRP Station, offers a great spot to capture stunning ocean views along with a scenic look at the Boso Peninsula on the opposite shore.
Along the beach, you’ll find various photo-worthy spots, including artistic objects, swings, and a vending machine-themed installation—perfect for taking memorable pictures of your trip.

■ Rest at Miura Fisharina Wharf (Urari)
Miura Fishing Port is famous for its tuna catch. Urari is a multi-purpose facility where you can enjoy fresh Miura vegetables, direct tuna sales, and a variety of dining options.
You can also rent bicycles, take an underwater sightseeing cruise, or hop on a ferry to Jogashima.

The cycling route "Pacific Coast Bicycle Path Kanagawa Section " introduced here, extends further west, passing through Yanagishima Sports Park, Oiso Port, and Fishing Port Station TOTOCO Odawara, before reaching the Kanagawa-Shizuoka prefectural border.
